Sean and Aqeela

During his day job as Chief of Staff for LAPD Chief Charlie Beck, Sean came up with concept Casa Tienda, which connects LAPD officers with community partners such as Habitat for Humanity to invest in some of LA's most crime ridden neighborhoods. By creating catalytic corner stories and businesses with owners or managers living above or adjacent to the enterprise, Casa Tienda's goal is to create stability within these neighborhoods. For the first project, Sean will partner with activist Aqeela Sherrils who will co-present with Sean. The first Casa Tienda project will be to help complete and open Aqeela's Three World's Cafe in Watts.
